Women in Business

People once believed that women were physically and emotionally weak. This situation resulted in women being locked up inside their homes, and all they were instructed to do was care for the kitchen, raise children, and serve their husbands. Yet even in the past, women such as Marie Curie, Mother Theresa, Coco Chanel, and Kalpana Chawla demonstrated that women were able to succeed and made bold steps to change society, proving that women are capable of doing everything men are capable of.

Today women are successful in all areas of work. They are teachers, doctors, pilots, engineers, and the military. Oprah Winfrey, Sara Blakely, Indra Nooyi, and Falguni Nayar are some women who changed people’s perceptions that women can start businesses and run them successfully. Women are independent, multitaskers, and solo entrepreneurs.

Businesses today give equal importance to women. This allows them to demonstrate their potential and how well they can contribute to the growth and success of the venture. In addition, women prove themselves to be efficient contributors to the business.

However, there are a lot of places where women are not taken seriously. They are still viewed as unable to make it to the end. Most of this is done by family members concerned for their daughters, wives, or sisters staying out. This is because there is no security for women yet. Despite this, women are taking bold steps and overcoming many obstacles, and are making themselves a strong presence in the business world.

Given these points, despite the stereotype that women are less motivated than businessmen, many female entrepreneurs prove that stereotype to be untrue by doing well in their businesses. Women are walking hand in hand with men. Women are doing excellently well in today’s world and the future. More female testimonies will be forthcoming.
