Cristiano Ronaldo was marked with Saudi Arabian football club Al Nassr for a registered record-breaking pay
January 3, 2023: -Football player Cristiano Ronaldo is entering the Saudi Arabian club known as Al Nassr in a deal that sees him play, which is valid till June 2025.
“History in the making,” Al Nassr FC stated in a Twitter post on its English-language account.
“This is confirming that will inspire our club to achieve even greater success and our league, our nation and future teams, boys and girls, to be the best version of themselves. Welcome, Cristiano, to your new home AlNassrFC.”
The Saudi club stated Ronaldo was “eager to experience a recent football league in a different country.”
The 37-year-old Portugal team captain is a free agent following leaving major British club Manchester United after a dramatic fallout with some of its management.
The information of Ronaldo’s confirming the deal on Friday follows months of rumours and speculation about whether joining a Saudi team, as over one had created offers in the millions of dollars.
In the summer, Ronaldo rejected an offer from a different Saudi club, Al Hilal, which gave him a nearly $370 million contract over several years. Simultaneously, he chose to stay at Manchester United, saying he was happy there.
Multiple outlets cited Ronaldo’s payment with Al Nassr at around $200 million every year when commercial deals are included, whereas, if confirmed, it would be the significant-ever salary in the history of the sport.
The famous football reporter Fabrizio Romano outlined the contract deal in a tweet, which called it the “biggest salary ever in football.”
At 37, Ronaldo is at the average retirement age for a professional soccer player, which signs then extends his career with a significant financial comeback. Ronaldo’s contract at Manchester United has experienced him earning an eye-watering $605,000 weekly. He is one of the highest-paid people in history.

Al Nassr was discovered in Riyadh in 1955, is one of Saudi Arabia’s oldest soccer clubs and has won nine Saudi Premier League titles.
